Daddy Loves

I decided to play with a new stamp set today. It is called "A Good Man." I combined it with three other sets. What do you think?

Stamps: A Good Man, Golden Afternoon, Waterfront, Sheltering Tree
Paper: Highland Heather A-2, Basic Black 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Night of Navy, Tuxedo Black Memento
Technique: Stamping Off, Watercolor
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Adhesive

This new stamp set will become available on June 2nd. It has wonderful father images and some great sentiments.

I used the stamping-off technique when I stamped the mountains in Highland Heather. The Night of Navy under the mountains was stamped once, and then I used the aqua painter to bring the color downward. The sentiment and grass were stamped using the Gorgeous Grape. I also used the small end of my markers to outline the figures with Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek. Contact me for any further information. I appreciate all of your feedback. Please leave your comments below and don't forget to follow me.

Butterfly Daisy

Springtime equals beginnings and renewals. It is the time to remind those in our circles that life is better with them in it.

Stamps: Butterfly Gala, Daisy Delight
Paper: Flirty Flamingo A-2, Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4, Scraps of both for daisy & butterflies
Ink: Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch
Technique: Clear Block Stamping
Accessories: Butterfly Duet Punch, Daisy Punch, Clear Block "B", Pumpkin Pie Corduroy Button, Glue Dots, Adhesive

I used glue dots to adhere the button and the butterflies. I also just picked up the ink with the clear block and stamped on the Whisper White card stock. I did not add any water. I also turned the direction of the block for the middle block.

Golden Butterfly

Black and gold always look elegant together, and if you add a touch of green you have added beauty as well. Take a look and see for yourself.

Stamps: Part of my Story, Sheet Music
Paper: Basic Black A-2, 5 1/4 x 4, Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 (2), Gold Foil 5 1/4 x 4, Scraps of Whisper White
Ink: Call Me Clover
Technique: Die Cutting
Accessories: Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies, Layering Ovals Framelit Dies, Black Rhinestone Jewels, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

I stamped the Sheet Music Background stamp onto the Whisper White and attached it to the Basic Black Card Base. I then die cut the Butterflies on a Basic Black and a Gold Foil Panel. I glued one on top of the other using my Fine Tip Glue Pen. I adhered this onto the card base using glue dots. I then stamped my sentiment and die cut it with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. I attached it with Dimensionals. Lastly, I added Black Rhinestone Jewels to the butterflies and the sentiment.

I believe this card will look beautiful in any color, although I am partial to the glimmer that the foil or any glitter paper would bring. Contact me if you have any questions or need any supplies or cards. I do appreciate all of your feedback.

Butterfly Garden Love

The background on this card is dry embossed and then colored with markers. It does take patience and time, but I think it is worth it. Don't you?

Supplies:

Stamps: Four Frames, Good Greetings
Paper: Pink Pirouette A-2, 2" Sq., Very Vanilla 5 x 4, Melon Mambo 4 x 1 1/2, 2" Sq. (The 2" squares are for the butterfly embossilites.
Ink: Melon Mambo, Early Espresso
Markers: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz
Techniques: Sponging, Dry Embossing
Accessories: Small Oval Punch, Decorative Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Beautiful Wings Embossilites, Floral Garden Embossing Folder, Sponge, Glue Dots, Pearls, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Adhesive

Steps:

I first cut all of my paper to the sizes I needed.

I then embossed the Beautiful Wings (butterflies) in both Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo.

Next, I embossed my Very Vanilla card stock and took my time coloring it with my markers. You have to take care to only color the raised portion of the embossing. I used the small tip of the marker to have more control, but you can use the brush side if you can hold it horizontally to the paper.

I then stamped and cut out my sentiment using the Decorative Punch and the Small Oval Punch.

I sponged the edges with Melon Mambo.

Then I assembled the card.

The Very Vanilla was adhered with glue onto the Pink Pirouette card.

I then attached the sentiment on the top left of the card.

I used both Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo butterflies randomly on the card using glue dots.

Lastly, I attached the pearls and rhinestones.

Please note that any floral background embossing folder will work for this card. You can even use a regular floral background stamp, just color the stamp, breathe on it, and then stamp it on the Very Vanilla card stock. The sentiment can also be changed to suit your needs.

Have fun! Feel free contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks for looking and reading.

Accessories: Magnolia Memory Dies, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Adhesive

I used my Crushed Curry Marker to color the rhinestones before I placed them on the card.

Trick or Treat

The tricky part about Halloween is that it takes me longer to conjure up an idea than it does to actually execute it! Now, isn't that a treat?

Stamps: Fall Fest, Holiday Best
Paper: Crushed Curry A-2, Whisper White Scraps for the pumpkins and leaves, Tangerine Tango for the sentiment, and Motley Monsters DSP 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
Accessories: Fun Fall Framelits, Color Me Autumn Washi Tape, 3/16" Corner Rounder, Dimensionals

The first step is to cut the Designer Series Paper and place strips of Washi tape on the front. I actually let the tape spill over to the back of the card. I then adhered the pumpkins using dimensionals.  I glued on the leaves and placed them randomly on the card. The sentiment was attached using dimensionals as well.  I tried to create a pumpkin patch with the Crushed Curry Washi tape.  I am not really sure I pulled it off, but I am still pleased with the card.  I hope you like it as well.

Thanks for stopping by here and taking a peek. All of your feedback is welcomed.
